Conjoined Twins Marry, Dude Perfect, Trump Abortion Comments
“Let us thus think often that our only business in this life is to please GOD, that perhaps all besides is but folly and vanity.”

Conjoined Twins Navigate Marriage
Conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel have made headlines following news of Abby’s marriage to Josh Bowling. Abby and Brittany are dicephalic parapagus twins, meaning they share a body with two heads, two hearts, one torso, one pair of legs, and one reproductive system. They have long lived in the spotlight, starring on a TLC show, “Abby & Brittany,” and remain a modern-day medical miracle. The conjoined sisters have learned to drive a car together, send emails, have jobs, and navigate the endless complexities of their life circumstances.
Abby and Brittany are a medical and emotional miracle (Psalm 139:14). The world should take note of the resilience that these two young women have shown as they have forged a life for themselves with a lot of odds stacked against them. With the internet all abuzz with interest in their personal lives, we cannot forget they are not merely objects of our curiosity; they are image bearers who deserve the honor, dignity, and respect that should be extended to all, particularly to those whose “image” doesn’t look like the “rest” of us (Matthew 25:40, Luke 14:12-14, Proverbs 31:8-9, Psalm 82:3).
As to the matter of Abby’s marriage, the remnant can consider a few things.
Marriage is meant to be between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:18-24). God’s Word does not tell us if conjoined twins should marry, but it does tell us that any who marry will face trouble (1 Corinthians 7:28). It is hard even to imagine the “trouble” of being married when your spouse is physically connected to their sibling.
It is wrong to see marriage as a necessary provision from God or an essential right which cannot be denied (Matthew 19:12).
It is wrong to believe that God is not good unless we are able to marry, procreate, and enjoy intimacy within a marital union on earth (Matthew 10:37, Revelation 2:4).
Marriage, like singleness, is a gift given for a particular purpose. While more marry than do not, one gift is not greater than the other (1 Corinthians 7:7, Genesis 1:27-28).
Nothing on earth should ever be the source of our happiness. God alone is the One who “opens his hand and satisfies the desires of all living things” (Psalm 145:16).
A life surrendered to Christ contains all the purpose, meaning, and joy any individual needs to enjoy and justify their existence (Ephesians 2:10).
If Abby and Brittany know Jesus, and we pray they do or soon will, they will one day receive glorified bodies, free from any imperfection or limitation. (1 Corinthians 15:42-53)
The greatest provision in Abby and Brittany’s life is that they were born at all, as it is estimated that approximately 80% of children who receive life-limiting diagnoses are aborted in the womb. The courage of their parents to give them the gift of life, and the choice made by the girls to make the most of the life they have been given is to be celebrated and an example to be followed.

Dude Perfect Scores Investment
Dude Perfect, a YouTube group known for their basketball trick shots, has received a significant investment ranging from $100 million to $300 million from Highmount Capital. With over 60 million subscribers and 17 billion views, Dude Perfect has grown into a multi-faceted brand, securing partnerships with major advertisers and expanding into ventures like their own smoothie at Smoothie King and a line of Nerf products. The investment aims to support their transition into "Dude Perfect 2.0," which includes plans for a retail store, a streaming platform, toys and games in Walmart, and even a theme park.
“Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before obscure men” (Proverbs 22:29).
These men are skilled in their work, they’ve stood before kings, and now they are being compensated like them. If you are not familiar with the “dudes,” you should be, especially if you are a parent of 6-14 year olds. In a world filled with “worthless things” that we should ‘not put before our eyes” (Psalm 101:3), it is beyond rare to find something excellent and fun joined with such positive role models in the world of entertainment.
Worldly success is deceptive in a number of ways; let me highlight just a few.
First, too many believe success just happens upon us when in fact, it is most often the result of endurance, hard work, and sacrifice (Proverbs 14:23). There is no question that God’s kindness and sovereignty are always involved (Deuteronomy 8:18), but we are expected to labor to “build the house” and not just wait for Him to give us the key (Psalm 127:1). While everyone is watching their success, few people know how close the world came to not knowing or getting to watch the Dudes.
Second, worldly success is not long-lasting either in days (James 4:14) or in the satisfaction it produces (Ecclesiastes 2:4-11).
Finally, even more deceptive and fleeting than success is the riches it brings because not only does money quickly “take wing” (Proverbs 23:4-5), but it often creates a waywardness in the heart that ruins the man who receives it (1 Timothy 6:9).
You can be sure, with the influx of riches and worldly success, that the dudes need our prayers much more than we need their product. These men are part of the remnant, and the remnant needs to pray continually for these men (Hebrews 3:13).

Trump Comments on Abortion
Former President Donald Trump, in a video posted on his Truth Social site, declared that abortion policy should be determined by states, refusing to endorse a national ban despite previous speculation. Trump's stance leaves room for association with strict state legislation, drawing criticism from pro-life advocates and abortion rights activists alike.
The world is absent of approximately 73 million children per year who deserve the right to "make the most of the life they have been given." 73 MILLION.
This reality should motivate faithful followers of Jesus to leverage whatever influence, resources, time, and talents they can to support women in crisis pregnancies and pro-life organizations and secure the election of pro-life leaders. Voting for a leadership that actively advocates not to protect life in the womb is to partner with evil.
"Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak, not to act is to act" (Deitrich Bonhoeffer, Luke 11:48-51).
The overturn of Roe v. Wade was a step in the right direction, but the culture of death will only stop when the culture changes, not when the legislature does. It is the decided job of the remnant to impact culture (Matthew 5:13-16). Pray we do so today.
