Christian Nationalism on National TV, Student Murdered by Alien, TX Prof Reinstated
“The Christian ideal has not been tried and found wanting; it has been found difficult and left untried.”

Christian Nationalism on National TV
Heidi Przybyla, an award-winning investigative journalist for Politico, asserted during an appearance on MSNBC's "All In with Chris Hayes" that associating rights with God indicates "Christian nationalism," particularly prevalent among those surrounding Trump. She distinguished between Christians and Christian nationalists, highlighting the latter's belief that rights derive from God, not from earthly authorities like Congress or the Supreme Court.
"The thing that unites them as Christian nationalists - not Christians, by the way, because Christian nationalists are very different - is that they believe that our rights as Americans, as all human beings, don't come from any earthly authority. They don't come from Congress; they don't come from the Supreme Court. They come from God. The problem with that is that they are determining - man, men, it is men [who] are determining what God is telling them," Przybyla said.
Przybyla also criticized the "misuse of natural law" by some conservative Christians to oppose abortion and LGBTQ+ rights, exemplified in recent rulings and policy agendas.
Making the claim that "rights come from God" does not make someone a "Christian nationalist"; it makes you a Christian. Genesis 1:26-27 is where God tells us of the "imago dei," specifically the Truth that man was made in the image of God and, as such, is given both unique dignity and responsibility over the rest of creation. God called those made in His image to be fruitful, to multiply, and to fill the earth and subdue it, and with these commands, He bestowed rights and responsibilities. Believing these fundamental truths is fundamental to the Christian worldview, and it is impossible to claim to be a Christian and reject them. Przbyla's statement is both absurd and uninformed (Proverbs 26:4-5) in relation to the Christian faith and our nation's founding.
Our founders wrote in our Declaration of Independence that the 'Laws of Nature and Nature's God entitle' a people to act on "self-evident" truths that are "endowed by their Creator" and, in doing so, appeal to the "Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of their intentions" with a "firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence," you would think an "award-winning journalist" would be more careful in her assertions and conclusions.
What is clear is that we are quickly moving to a place where people like Pryzbala want to appeal to another kind of law, an "unnatural law" (Romans 1:26-27, Jude 1:7) and that those like her increasingly want to "dissolve the political bands which have connected" us with one another. Make no mistake, behind every system of law, there is a god, and what has been happening in our country these last generations is an increasing embrace of a lessor "one" than is alluded to in our founding documents, and just as surely as our founding fathers' convictions led to a dissolution of our union with England so too will these new beliefs cause new "founders" to form another government that has at its source the ideas of fallen men and not of "Nature's God" (Romans 1:18-21). This will not end well for them (Proverbs 14:12) or for our nation if it embraces their unnatural customs (Leviticus 18:24-28). As we have seen again and again through the history of man and his civilizations, whoever controls a nation's laws controls a nation's values, and as a nation's values go, so goes its future (Leviticus 20:22).
“If the source of law is the individual, then the individual is the god of that system…if the source of law is our court then the court is our god. If there is no higher law beyond man, then man is his own god…when you choose your authority, you choose your god, and when you look for your law, there is your God.” —R.J. Student Murdered by Illegal Alien
Jose Antonio Ibarra, arrested for the murder of nursing student Laken Riley at the University of Georgia, has been confirmed as an illegal immigrant from Venezuela. He crossed into Texas in 2022 and was released by Customs and Border Protection due to overcrowding at the facility. Ibarra had no connection to the victim or the university. Denied bond, he remains in Clarke County jail. Riley was a recent UGA graduate studying nursing in Athens. The city, a sanctuary for immigrants, drew attention from Georgia Republican representatives calling for the death penalty.
One does not need to overcomplicate the condemnation of murder (Exodus 20:13). If we cannot condemn murder without prefacing our disdain for evil, we should reflect on what has captured our minds and hearts (Proverbs 4:23).
While love knows no borders, it must also respect just laws (Matthew 22:39-40). As citizens of heaven (Philippians 3:20), our love extends to all regardless of another’s citizenship status, yet wisdom demands respect for legal boundaries. Even as we extend compassion to others, we cannot forsake justice or, in the name of compassion, ignore borders and laws (Matthew 5:43-45).
Just as elections have consequences, so do bad policies. In this tragedy, it should be apparent to all that promoting law and order and respect for immigration laws is a pathway to justice and love for our neighbors, not a roadblock to it. (Romans 13:1-7, 1 Peter 2:13-17)

TX Professor Reinstated
A biology professor at a taxpayer-funded Texas community college, Dr. Johnson Varkey, was terminated after teaching that sex is determined by X and Y chromosomes, leading to complaints from students about his views on various topics, including homosexuality and transgender issues.
First Liberty Institute, representing Varkey, filed a federal religious discrimination complaint against St. Philip’s College, alleging discrimination based on his religious and scientific beliefs. After negotiations, St. Philip’s College reinstated Varkey with a clear record, acknowledging his right to teach basic biology, though no apology was offered for the ordeal.
Dr. Varkey’s termination is a perfect example of the risk that every Christian may face if they cling to what is true, and refuse to embrace, celebrate, teach, or accept that which is false. While we can rejoice that truth and justice “won” in this instance, the remnant should be ready to “lose their job doing the right thing,” with no guarantee that there is a religious liberty organization waiting in the wings to take up their cause. We are told in Scripture to hold fast to truth (1 John 2:24), be prepared (1 Peter 1:13), not be surprised (1 Peter 4:12, 1 John 3:13), and to expect trouble for identifying with Jesus (2 Timothy 3:12).
Meanwhile, we encourage you to support our friends at First Liberty and thank God for their service in protecting religious liberty.
