IDF Says Hamas Cannot Be Defeated
IDF Spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari stated that eradicating the Hamas terror group is unrealistic, highlighting tensions between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and top defense officials regarding the war in Gaza. Hagari emphasized that Hamas is more than a political party; it is an entrenched ideology, making its complete elimination impossible. Netanyahu's office responded, affirming that the destruction of Hamas's military and governance capabilities is a primary war goal to which the IDF is committed. The IDF clarified that Hagari's remarks were about the ideological aspect of Hamas, not its military capabilities. This exchange reflects ongoing disagreements between military leaders and Netanyahu over strategic planning and postwar governance in Gaza. Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and other officials have stressed the importance of establishing a new governing body in Gaza to prevent Hamas from regaining control.
Hamas, just like every evil ideology, is rooted in the wicked hearts of men (Jeremiah 17:9). Hagari is correct in realizing that this is not a “war of flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12). Combating terrorism is complex and needs to involve confronting deeply rooted beliefs and ideologies, not just physical confrontation. At the same time, any and all military actions against Hamas and other terrorist groups in response to terrorist actions are not only justified but warranted (Romans 13:4). Pray the gospel would penetrate the hearts of terrorists just like it did for Saul (Acts 9:1-19) and like it has for us (Romans 5:8).

RFK Jr. Excluded from Debate
Independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. failed to qualify for CNN's first presidential debate. He did not meet the polling minimum or secure access to enough state ballots needed to theoretically be elected president by the June 20 deadline. Consequently, he will not join President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump in the upcoming debate in Atlanta. Despite filing a legal complaint to the Federal Election Commission and claiming the exclusion was undemocratic, Kennedy did not fulfill the necessary criteria, including reaching 15 percent support in four polls and ballot certification in several states.
Since 1988 until 2020, every presidential and vice presidential debate has been sponsored by the Commission on Presidential Debates. This year, CNN is hosting and creating the rules for the 2024 presidential debate. RFK Jr. did not meet the requirements laid out by CNN to participate in the event, and while we won't speculate as to why (2 Timothy 2:23), it is not hard to imagine the convenience of his exclusion. Meanwhile, we can pray the two participating candidates give thoughtful, reasoned responses to the questions and that they are ready to give answers for their positions, policies, and platforms, just as we need to be ready to give an answer for the hope that we have in the midst of such presidential prospects (1 Peter 3:15).

Study Finds Links to Death and Covid mRNA Vaccine
A study published by medical professionals found that 73.9% of deaths among individuals who received COVID-19 vaccinations were directly due to or significantly contributed to by the vaccine. The study examined 325 autopsy cases, showing an average time from vaccination to death of 14.3 days. Proposed mechanisms of death included the neurotoxic effects of the spike protein and vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT). The Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) reported 1,556,050 adverse events, including 35,324 deaths, by May 2023. The authors call for further investigation and autopsies on all deceased individuals who received COVID-19 vaccines.
As Christians, we are called to exercise wisdom and discernment in all aspects of life (Proverbs 4:7). The recent study on the potential risks associated with COVID-19 vaccinations underscores the need for discernment in who we listen to and trust (1 Thessalonians 5:21). This means critically evaluating the information we receive, seeking guidance from reliable sources, and praying for God’s wisdom in making informed decisions (James 1:5). Listening to medical advice can be a life or death decision and the prudent person should hold a healthy skepticism toward experts who are constantly shifting their counsel, explanations, and ideas. Only God’s Word is worth “blindly” submitting to (Proverbs 30:5); everything else requires careful evaluation and prayerful reflection (Philippians 4:6, 1 Thessalonians 5:17).
