Church Abortion Center, Vivek and Founding Fathers, 4 Officers Dead

“The Christian life is not a series of ups and downs, but a series of ins and outs, as we ‘abide in Christ’ and Christ abides in us.”

“Church” Opens “Pregnancy” Center

In response to Texas' strict abortion bans, the First Unitarian Church of Dallas opened the Truth Pregnancy Resource Center to offer what they consider to be comprehensive reproductive health information and support. They believe this initiative is necessary as abortion clinics have closed across the state, limiting access to women's healthcare. The center, located near a former abortion clinic, will provide counseling, sonograms, and information on various pregnancy outcomes, including adoption and accessing abortion in neighboring states. With funding secured for the initial years of operation, the center aims to serve pregnant individuals regardless of their choices.

The First Unitarian Church has never been a biblical church and should not be called one (Acts 2:42-47). The fact that they are now furthering their deception by offering a "Truth Pregnancy Resource Center" that will assist women seeking abortions only further underscores the tragedy of them being associated with the bride of Christ. The evil one disguises himself as an "angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:14), and it is no surprise that those who reject the Word of God do the same. As the article states, this Unitarian community has been "steeped in the world of abortion advocacy" and "already partners with an abortion fund in New Mexico to fly abortion seekers from North Texas." Flying people to a safe place where they can take the life of their child is the antithesis of the work of the church (Deuteronomy 12:31; 1 Corinthians 10:20; Psalm 127:3-5).

Terms like "comprehensive reproductive health," "reproductive dignity," and "reproductive health care continuum," and claims that paying for women to fly out of the state to have their child removed from the womb is the "church's" "opportunity to do good in the world" are all used in this Dallas Morning News article celebrating the Unitarian's efforts to "act as a foil for other crisis pregnancy centers" that are "run by people who operate unethically and with the intention to dissuade, deter or prevent them from certain reproductive health care options." The deceptive wording is overwhelming, relentless, and deserving of all the judgment and condemnation Peter warns is assuredly coming to those who employ them (2 Peter 2:2).

The practices and affirmations of Unitarian Universalist congregations betray not only the Word of God but also their very own first two Principles which "guide" their tradition, claiming they are committed to the "inherent worth and dignity of every person" and support "justice, equity and compassion in human relations."

What they apparently really mean is that they value the worth of every person who survives one of the options offered in their "Truth Pregnancy Resource Center."

May God have mercy on them and all who walk through their doors (Luke 23:34).

4 Officers Killed

Four officers were killed, and four were injured in the line of duty on Tuesday after they were met with gunfire as they served a warrant for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. All four of the deceased officers leave behind wives and children. The suspect retreated into the house before he could be arrested and began firing shots from a second-story window; he was killed in the fire. Over 100 rounds of casings are expected to be recovered from the site. A woman and a 17-year-old girl were in the residence at the time of the exchange. A complete investigation of the incident is underway.

There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for others (John 15:13). These four officers demonstrated incredible love for their community, neighbors, and fellow officers on Tuesday when they boldly moved toward danger and did not retreat at the risk of their own lives. Police provide essential services to our nation and deserve our gratitude and support (Romans 13:3-4).

Real men move towards danger, protect women and children, and sacrifice their lives for others (1 Corinthians 16:13-14). Real men do not evade arrest and accountability, illegally possess firearms, and act as a source of danger and pain to women and children. The cost of sin is always higher than you imagine (James 1:15). This suspect likely did not grow up wanting to be a convicted felon and die in a fire-fight, claiming the lives of four others with his own. Yet, he lost a battle at some point to the enticing lies of the enemy, and found himself in this place one bad decision after another. For this we grieve with his Maker (2 Peter 3:9).

Our prayers and gratitude are with the new widows and fatherless children, may they be met with comfort (Psalm 34:18), love and care (Galatians 6:2), and if their husbands/fathers knew Jesus, hope (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

Vivek and the Founding Fathers

In a viral video making rounds this week, former presidential contender Vivek Ramaswamy stirred waves with his remarks. In the footage, Ramaswamy delivered a striking message, proclaiming, "When we face the founding fathers in the afterlife, and they ask us, 'What sacrifice did you make for your country? We better have a [expletive] good answer for them, and we will. This is a 1776 moment in our country. And I don't say that lightly."

It should be noted that Ramaswamy has publicly identified as Hindu. Hinduism does not have a concept for a Final Judgment, but rather one of the core concepts in Hinduism is a belief in reincarnation.

Vivek is right to point to the reality of an afterlife (Matthew 25:46). He’s also right that we must all give an account for our actions (and inactions) in our lives (Romans 14:12). Ramaswamy, like some of our founding fathers, is not a Christian. And neither he nor our founding fathers will be in a position to judge anyone after death (Psalm 75:7). It’s the blood of Christ that saves us from God’s wrath, not our patriotism (Romans 5:9).

Pray for Vivek. I sincerely hope he comes to know Jesus is God (Colossians 2:9), a trustworthy and righteous judge (Acts 10:42), and His church is a people that will spend eternity worshiping God — not lamenting our civic shortcomings (Revelation 4:8-11).
